Are You Emotionally Connected to Your Dreams and Goals?

easterIn today’s podcast Paul and Gina look at the benefits of becoming more emotionally engaged with the things or lifestyle you want to create. Wanting something isn’t enough – you’ll just get more of that ‘I want’ feeling.

But by engaging all your senses – smell, sight, touch and hearing – and using your imagination (a very powerful tool) you’d be amazed at what you can create.

Gina plans to create her home in France… so instead of just having a visual image of the house, she is using her other senses to connect with her desired end result.

How do you emotionally connect with your goals and dreams?

Remember your dreams!

bucketlist1It’s all too easy to cast aside those amazing dreams you had as a child. Dreams and ideas of what you’d love to achieve, where you’d love to go, the kind of work you’d love to do – when you grew up. Everything seemed exciting and full of promise back then. We were looking at the world through eyes of innocence. At least during the Seventies!

Granted, you might not actually want to be an astronaut in later life, but there are many things we park, as we get embroiled in marriages, mortgages, kids and just surviving.

In today’s podcast, Paul and Gina discuss ways in which you can re-connect to your lost and abandoned dreams. And begin manifesting them in your life today.

There’s nothing more exciting than ticking off a ‘to create’ list and realising that you have, in fact made your dreams come true. Check out the fab movie ‘Bucket List‘ for more inspiration!

It can be a frightful number for some so we thought we take a different point of view and in this podcast Paul and Chris give your 13 ideas to create, attract and manufacture greater “luck” in the upcoming 12 months.

These ideas may surprise you and at the least, we hope they inspire you to keep taking action and regular steps towards living the life you’ve dreamed of.

It’s also a good reminder that ordinary things done consistently creates extraordinary results.

So here’s to an ‘out-of-the-ordinary’ and very rewarding new year ahead.

Sleep Problems – Reasons and Solutions for Insomina

Sleep problemsSleep is vital to our well-being, but (a bit like our health) we tend to take it for granted when all is well, and only start to appreciate it more when problems arise.

Suffering from Insomnia?

Whether you’ve been troubled by occasional or chronic insomnia, had vivid dreams that you wake from feeling exhausted, tossed and turned all night or had an injury/illness that affected the quality of your sleep, sleep problems can affect everything from your appetite, ability to concentrate, your mood (irritability!) to your energy levels, happiness and effectiveness.

Causes of Sleep Problems

Sometimes there are obvious reasons for why we don’t sleep well:

  • We might be stressed about a particular issue, person or scenario
  • We may have had a late meal or cup of coffee
  • We could have been too hot, too cold or too ill

But a lot of the time the reasons for poor sleep are less obvious, and this is when changes to our sleep quality can signal that we need to pay attention to something. A bad night’s sleep can have a purposeful message for us!Continue reading

Spring has Sprung!

Whether you are in the northern hemisphere (and enjoying the brightening days and the warmer temperatures) or whether you celebrate and remember the story of Easter, this time of year is synonymous with rebirth, renewal and fresh perspectives.

There is certainly something very energising and uplifting about sunny skies and spring bulbs and fresh air without the chill. And for me, this has been accompanied by a deep sense of gratitude – how thankful I am for each ray of sunshine, how beautiful each flower is and how free it feels to finally ditch the thermal underwear I’d been living in for nearly 5 full months!

And whether coincidentally or through divine guidance, I’m experiencing a rebirth of sorts – beginning a new chapter of my life, and giving birth to some dreams that I’ve wanted to nurture for a long while now. It feels like Spring poetry in action!

Alongside the gratitude comes a sense of the impossible becoming – not just possible – but Continue reading

Does Goal Setting Automatically Mean Lots Of Planning?

We had a great question in from one of our listeners to the podcast.

“Do you think that the more formal process of goal setting works better for everybody, and everyone should use it to achieve more?”

Sam and Paul consider the options and situations where structured goal setting is really required, but admit themselves that they don’t always have to follow a rigid process to move towards their dreams.

Thanks Matt for a brilliant question!

10 Power Questions to move you forward

Are you looking for new direction and new inspiration this year? Instead of asking others for advice, how about asking yourself these 10 power questions. They’ll give you insights and guidance towards creating the life that you really want.

1.  If tomorrow was your last day on Earth, what would you wish you’d done in your life (but haven’t).

2. Do you have a recurring vision or dream about a particular place, job, activity, people?

3. What do you feel you were put on this Earth to do?

4. What do you care deeply about?

5. Name 5 things you are really good at.

6. Ask 5 people what they think you’re good at.

7. If you had a week all to yourself without any responsibilities, what would you do?

8. What’s the most important decision you are facing right now? What stops you from making it?

9. If I told you that you had unlimited time and resources and that you could do anything you want in life, what would that be?

10. What are the first steps you can take towards doing the work or leading the life you’d love?

Inside your heart is a dream that may yet be unfulfilled. By focusing on what you love, rather than what you feel you should be doing will give you greater energy and insight. One easy way to start is to write non-stop for about 20 minutes, listing all the things you love doing. I did this recently and it was very revealing! Begin using your imagination to create, rather than clinging to a belief system that holds you back. Every single thing you see in the world today was created initially by someone’s imagination. As Lennon himself said: “Imagine…”
